Hi. I’m Thomas, a copywriting student who is currently applying for internship positions in the Gothenburg area.
I’m very interested in Polestar. I wrote this page for you.
Why Polestar?
I’ve always been interested in engineering in general. Mostly automotive, but also aerospace. I think the current challenge that all automakers are facing – the transition to zero emissions – is a very fascinating one. I get the feeling that Polestar is not only tackling this challenge head on, but also taking the opportunity to rethink how a car manufacturer handles talent acquisition, design, and branding.
Also, I really like the performance aspect of Polestar. For me, one of the most exciting things about electric vehicles is their potential to enhance driving performance. Instant torque response from drive motors, the possibility for true torque vectoring, a low centre of gravity, and greater freedom regarding packaging which allows for better weight distribution and more effective aerodynamics.
Of course, there are some challenges on the road ahead, but the future certainly looks bright!
Why me?
I’m versatile. I’m bilingual. I love getting technical. I enjoy learning new things, and writing about them. I like the feeling of finishing a text, whether it is a headline, a social media post, or longer body copy. I’m a bit of a car nerd. I have extensive experience working with both visual and technical subjects.

So. What’s the deal with this internship thing?
At Yrgo, the internship is part of our curriculum. Learning while working. Hence, we still receive student loans, so the internships are expected to be unpaid.
Our internship is divided into two periods. The first spans from March 23:rd to June 5:th, the second from August 17:th to November 27:th. We can choose to intern at one place contiguously for the whole period (with a summer break), or divide the time between two employers, if that works better.
Since the internship is part of the curriculum, we are expected to have a contact person at the office that we can turn to for feedback and guidance.
Sound interesting?
Give me a shout. Even if you’re not interested in a copywriting intern at the moment, I’d love to have a meeting and a chat with you. Until then, you can find my full portfolio by clicking the header at the top of this page.
